Catwalks, Stairs & Platforms
We fabricated and installed the stairs and catwalk for Dillard's Fort Worth distribution facility, then reinforced the roof trusses to carry the added load — access structures for buildings that don't stop operating for construction.
What this covers
Elevated access — catwalks, stairs, and platforms — is fabricated largely off-site and fit to a building's existing structure on install, which keeps a working facility running through the project. Every run has to be code-compliant on rise, run, and railing height, and strong enough for the load it's rated to carry.
Materials & process
Structural steel stairs, catwalk framing, and platform decking, built to fit existing warehouse or commercial structure. Guardrails and handrails are fabricated to match, and we reinforce existing framing (roof trusses, support columns) where the new structure adds load.
Typical applications
- Warehouse and distribution facility catwalks
- Multi-story access stairs
- Elevated equipment platforms
- Roof truss and structural reinforcement for added load
